Helderfontein Sports Medicine was started in January 2022, as a full private practice operating out of the Sports facilities at REDDAM Helderfontein. These amazing top class facilities are well utilized by top quality health professionals to assist with rehabilitation, pain relief and biomechanical improvement. The team consists of Physiotherapy, Biokinetics, Chiropractor and Homeopath, allowing us to take a broad view of your condition and get you firing at 100% again, delivering personalised and integrated results.

Andrew Van Rensburg Physiotherapy based at Helderfontein Sports Medicine will also carry out screening/treatment of the athletes and scholars at REDDAM Helderfontein, to ensure the best input occurs to them in this critical phase of body development. Anthony Cicero

Anthony D Cicero graduated 2008 from the University of the Western Cape. He entered the private sector immediately after completing his Community service year, and developed an interest in neuro-muscular and sporting type injuries.

Gaining exposure from school sports, he progressed to senior provincial level sporting teams with Border and Boland unions. In his Rugby career highlights include Craven week tournaments and international spells with Zimbabwe Rugby squads. Anthony acted as head Physio at the Cape Epic Cycling events and has several years associated with the Western Cape Sports School. Physiotherapy Supervisor and Sports Clinic Physio were added to his experience base.

Anthony continues to be active in treating in-hospital medical and surgical conditions, at institutes such as Christiaan Barnaard Medical and Flora Life.

Anthony was the Clinical Lead for the Back Clinic, and has now taken on the exciting role of Senior Physio at the Helderfontein Sports Medicine Centre.
